How to Find Jesus
The most important journey you’ll ever take begins with a single step.
A Simple Path to God
The Roman Road
The Bible lays out a simple, clear path to knowing God personally. It’s called the Roman Road — a series of verses from the book of Romans that show us our need, God’s solution, and how to respond. You don’t need to know anything to begin. Just walk with us, one verse at a time.
Five Steps on the Road
Step 1 · We All Have Sinned
Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Every person, no matter how good, has sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard.
Step 2 · Sin Has a Consequence
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Our sin separates us from God — but God offers a free gift: eternal life through Jesus.
Step 3 · God Loves You and Sent Jesus
Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
You didn’t have to clean yourself up first. God loved you exactly as you were and sent Jesus to die in your place.
Step 4 · Confess and Believe
Romans 10:9-10
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Salvation isn’t earned — it’s received. Believe in your heart. Say it out loud.
Step 5 · Call on His Name
Romans 10:13
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Everyone means you. There is no sin too great, no past too dark. Call on Jesus and He will save you.
Ready to Take That Step?
If these scriptures have stirred something in your heart, you can pray this simple prayer right now. God hears every sincere prayer.
“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Any door that I have opened up in my life to the devil, I now close that door. I renounce you, Satan, and all of your strongholds in my life. I believe that I am forgiven of my sins and I am covered with the blood of Jesus. Jesus, fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
